Group for Bipolar Teens

Stephen Altbaum currently offers a therapy group for Bipolar Youth.  The group meets on Monday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and has a minimum commitment of 8 weeks.  The group is psycho-educational in nature, and addresses the challenges of being diagnosed Bipolar, learning about the illness and how to overcome the difficulties, as well as providing an opportunity to meet and socialize with other adolescents also diagnosed with this disorder.  Please inquire for more information.

A one hour assessment is required before the group to determine if it will fit for both client and group. In addition, a “post-group” parenting session is offered for parents interested in learning what the adolescents learned.  The initial assessment fee is $80.00, and each group costs $45.00 after that.  The “post-group” parenting group is $45.00 per parent (or couple).   Times for the initial assessment are arranged at mutual convenience. Current or previous clients who meet the criteria for group do not  need the initial assessment.
